Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security visits our project

The information department of the Lesotho Ministry of Agriculture visited our project to do a TV spot and radio interview.  We were quite excited since this was a great opportunity to showcase what we are trying to do.  They were also excited because as they said this is a unique project in their experience. We demonstrated all our tools and showed our demonstration plots and of course the observation beehive which always gets a lot of attention. Litsebe gave a long interview explaining our goals of improving agriculture and creating jobs. Several farmers have since come to visit and buy tools because they heard about us on the radio.

Desperately needed materials aquired.

Several friends have donated funds to our project recently and this gave us the opportunity to buy raw materials in bulk for tool manufacturing. In the past we have had to buy small quantities and rely on transportation by public minivan taxis or friends or pay high prices to have these small quantities delivered by private truck. But with the new funds we were able to buy direct from the same South African trader that sells to building supply stores. This saved us considerable money and as we turn it into product it is multiplying the value of your donations.
